Where Does the White Go, by PierGiorgio Casotti

In the outskirts of Reggio Emilia there are small villages way in mountains where people are completely isolated of society and live in another dimension of time.  PierGiorgio Casotti captured portraits of these mountain people in their habitat.  He then composed a book of the portraits along with surrounding architecture of natural landscapes and man made structures.  In a collaboration we created a performance of the book reading texts by Mario Vighi and music by Luciano Bos and dance by me.  Together we developed an interpretation of each portrait and its pertaining landscape, and created a performative mood for the book, Where Does the White Go?
